Milky Way Extravaganza

While landscape astrophotography is one of my chief interests, I am also genuinely excited to simply turn the lens overhead, just to see what I can capture. I am rarely disappointed. There are a lot of stars up there! From an editing standpoint, there is much flexibility. I can follow a color neutral approach, but sometimes the "wth" factor must be allowed to work its way through and a more colorful interpretation is the result. Sometimes I try to clarify the image, but at others making the image unclear provides a more striking photo. A few of the images in this gallery are actually multiple interpretations of a singe digital file.
